The Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) is the 8th largest, nonprofit blood center in the United States. Approximately 250,000 units are offered to 140 medical facilities in the state of Oklahoma. As the first Sigma Blood customer, they aided in the consultation and development of the software to best meet blood banking needs.
The Blood Center is the primary supplier of blood, blood components and plasma derivatives to 30 local hospitals and numerous outpatient transfusion facilities throughout South Louisiana and parts of the Mississippi Gulf. Collecting 1500 units annually, the Blood Center is one of the smallest blood centers that Sigma Blood serves.
Community Blood Center has nine neighborhood sites and collects 145,000 pints annually.
